9Beschluss des Volkes; Agyrrios S.d. Kallimedon
10aus dem Demos Kollyte stellte den Antrag: Da der Ex-
11Archon Euthios die Opfer für die Götter
12opferte gemäß der Tradition, und Sorge trug für
13den Festzug für Dionysos in ehrgeiziger Weise und
14alles andere, was sein Amt betraf, ausführte in
15gerechter Weise, gehorsam den Gesetzen und
16den Beschlüssen von Rat und Volk,
17und deswegen ihn auch früher bereits
18das Volk belobigt und bekränzt hat
19in der Volksversammlung im (Theater) des Dionysos; – Damit
20nun allen öffentlich wird, dass das Volk jetzt
21und in Zukunft diejenigen ehren wird, die
22ihre Ämter in gerechter Weise und gemäß den
23Gesetzen ausüben, zu Glück und Heil!, wolle beschließen
24das Volk: dass man belobige Euthios S.d. Antiphon
25aus dem Demos TheithrasIV wegen seines Ehrgeizes und
26seines Wohlwollens, das er stets gegenüber dem Volk hegt,
27und ihn bekränze mit goldenem Kranz
28gemäß dem Gesetz; dass er auch noch andere
29Auszeichnung finden wird bei dem Volk, deren
30er für würdig erachtet wird, sobald der Piräus
31und die Stadt wieder eins sein werden; dass man
32belobige auch seine Beisitzer: Mei-
33dogenes S.d. Meidon aus dem Demos AthmononIX; Sokrates
34S.d. Sodamos aus dem Demos PaianiaV, wegen ihrer Gerechtigkeit
35und ihres Ehrgeizes, und bekränze einen jeden der
36beiden mit goldenem Kranz gemäß dem Gesetz;
37dass diesen Beschluss der Sekretär,
38der während der Prytanie amtiert, aufzeichne auf eine steinerne
39Stele und aufstelle gegenüber dem Bundesrat;
40dass für die Aufzeichnung auf die Stele
41die Finanzverwalter 10 Drachmen

2In the archonship of Nikias, in the seventh
3prytany, of Oineis, for which Theophilos son of Theodotos
4of Acharnai was secretary. On the ninth of
5Gamelion, the twenty-third
6of the prytany. Assembly. Of the presiding committee
7Oinokrates son of Oinobios of Eleusis was putting to the vote
8and his fellow presiding committee members. The
9People decided. Agyrrhios son of Kallimedon
10of Kollytos proposed: since Euthios when he was
11archon performed the sacrifices to the
12gods according to tradition and managed
13the procession for Dionysos with love of honour and
14did everything else concerning his office
15justly and and in obedience to the laws and
16decrees of the Council and People,
17and because of this previously the People
18praised him and crowned him in
19the Assembly in the theatre of Dionysos; so that
20it might be apparent to everyone that the People, now
21and in the future, will honour those
22serving in their offices justly and according
23to the laws, for good fortune, the People
24shall decide: to praise Euthios son of Antiphon
25of Teithras for the love of honour and good will
26which he continues to have for the People,
27and to crown him with a gold crown
28according to the law; and he shall be able
29to obtain other benefits from the People when
30he is judged to be worthy, when the Piraeus
31and the city are united; and to praise
32his assistants Meidogenes
33son of Meidon of Athmonon, Sokrates son
34of Sodamos of Paiania for their justice
35and love of honour, and to crown each
36of them with a gold crown according to the law;
37and the prytany secretary shall inscribe
